Outline

You will study all aspects of sports participation and performance through topics such as anatomy and physiology, sports coaching, fitness testing and training, sport management and a wide range of other sports-related subjects, providing a balance of both practical and theoretical study.

Progression

During your time with us, you will develop academically, as well as socially and emotionally, with the view of preparing you for employment or Higher Education. The course can lead to possible careers in coaching, personal training, leisure centre management, sports tutoring, the armed forces, or sports event management. Our footballing pathways allow our talented players to progress into semi-professional football with local clubs. You may decide to progress onto Higher Education with us on our Level 4 HNC/D in Sport and Exercise Science. 

Entry Requirements

Level 2 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have a minimum of four grade 3s at GCSE.Level 3 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have achieved a minimum of five grade 4s at GCSE, which must include either English or Maths.Additional Information: For Level 2 Vocational Courses, we will consider 2 Vocationals, ideally one to be in a related subject. For Level 3 Vocational Courses, we will consider 1 Vocational qualification in place of a GCSE as long as a grade 4 is achieved in English.
