The logo for the Educate North Awards Salford City College Group is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a Finalist in the Mental Health & Wellbeing category at the Educate North Awards (ENAs) 2025. This recognition highlights our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of students and staff through our pioneering #WELLSTUDENT initiative.

A Holistic Approach to Wellbeing

The #WELLSTUDENT initiative was developed to enhance the overall wellbeing of students and staff, creating a positive and supportive environment that fosters resilience and personal development. Since its launch in 2019, the programme has grown significantly, now benefitting over 4,000 students and 600 staff. Through a range of enrichment activities, digital resources, and tailored support, #WELLSTUDENT encourages a proactive approach to wellbeing. It empowers students to take control of their mental and physical health, providing them with tools to navigate challenges and succeed in their studies.

Key Features of #WELLSTUDENT

The initiative offers a range of accessible and engaging wellbeing resources, including:
  • A dedicated digital portal, providing students with easy access to wellbeing activities and support.
  • A variety of enrichment sessions, such as Lego therapy, “Tea, Toast, and Targets” sessions, and World Workshops, designed to support student engagement and personal growth.
  • Extensive staff training, ensuring that students receive the right guidance and support from trained professionals.
